Local Young Professionals Group (YPG)

The branch currently has one YPG representative, Paul Albinson, who with help from the other members of the committee aims to support young IT professionals within Dorset.

Our aim is to provide a wide variety of events that are enjoyable as well as informative.

The types of events planned for the future are:

  • Talks on the latest technology, productivity and professionalism
  • Hands on/practical demonstrations of computing technology - See technology in action and try some of it yourself
  • Seminar sessions - Come and learn a new skill or expand on existing knowledge with these workshop style, try it yourself events
  • Debates - Discuss and/or debate an IT subject, it could be something new or maybe a topic that has been confusing, or maybe frustrating, IT users for years.
  • And many more varieties of events such as "ask the panel" style events (put your questions to experts in their field).

To find out more about the YPG activity within the branch why not attend one of our events and talk to Paul or one of the other committee members (there is always time for a chat in our networking sessions at every event).

If you can't attend an event you can always contact the committee via our contact form

We always welcome additional volunteers to help with events and other branch activities so if you think you can help please do get in touch

Ps. The YPG is not age specific/restricted, young is used to refer to those at the start of their IT careers at whatever age that may be.
